Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a method in which a selected preparation is delivered into the skin as a series of small injections. It is not one universal formula: the goal of the procedure and the expected result are tied to the specific preparation. At Skinique the choice starts with a skin assessment.
We will assess your skin and find out whether mesotherapy is justified and which option fits best.
Good to know
The word “mesotherapy” describes the delivery method, not a single active ingredient. Preparations can contain hyaluronic acid, amino acids, peptides or other components, and their intended uses differ.
When mesotherapy may be suitable
Depending on the preparation, it can be considered if the goal is to:
- improve skin hydration and comfort;
- work on selected skin-quality parameters;
- improve skin quality around the eyes, if the preparation is intended for that area;
- complement a well-considered skincare plan.
When mesotherapy may not be the best choice
Mesotherapy is not a universal treatment for pigmentation, post-acne scars, active acne, pronounced tissue laxity or changes to facial contours. Such cases call for a more precise assessment of the problem and a different approach. The procedure is also unnecessary when the goal can more reasonably be achieved with home care, sun protection, another method or a doctor’s consultation.
How the preparation and plan are chosen
During the consultation we discuss your goal, health information, current medication and previous procedures. If an injection method is justified, I select the preparation, the area and the plan, and explain what to realistically expect from it. After the procedure we assess recovery and the result.
Treatment areas
Depending on the preparation, the face, the eye area, the neck or the décolletage can be treated. Preparations and areas are not interchangeable.
How the procedure works
We clarify your health information and make sure the chosen preparation may be used.
The skin is cleansed and disinfected; a topical anaesthetic is used if needed.
The preparation is administered as a series of small injections in the chosen area.
After the procedure you receive personal recommendations for skincare and the recovery period.
After the procedure
Common temporary reactions
Redness, small papules or dots at the injection sites, swelling, tenderness, burning or bruising are possible. They usually subside gradually.
For the first 24–48 hours treat the area gently and avoid intense exercise, heat and active UV exposure. You will receive full recommendations after the procedure.
Possible complications
Less commonly, infection, an allergic or inflammatory reaction, persistent nodules, pigmentation changes or another unwanted reaction to an ingredient of the preparation are possible. Very rarely an injection can affect a blood vessel and cause serious complications.
When to seek help
Contact the specialist immediately or seek urgent medical help if pain increases or is unusually strong, the skin changes colour markedly, swelling grows rapidly, vision or breathing problems appear, or there is fever or signs of infection.
What results to expect
Mesotherapy has no single universal result. Depending on the preparation, the goal may be to improve hydration, comfort or selected skin-quality parameters. Skinique does not position mesotherapy as a universal method for lifting or for treating pigmentation or scars; I assess the expected result within the limits of the specific preparation and its intended use.
How many procedures are needed
The number of procedures depends on the preparation, the skin condition and the goal. We discuss the plan at the consultation and adjust it based on the result where needed.
Contraindications and limitations
The procedure is not performed, or is postponed, if there is an active infection or marked inflammation in the injection area, an acute illness with fever, or a known allergy to the preparation’s ingredients. Aesthetic injections are not planned during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Blood-clotting disorders, blood-thinning medication, a history of severe allergic reactions, autoimmune or immunosuppressive conditions and recent procedures in the same area must be assessed beforehand. Do not stop medication prescribed by your doctor on your own.
Price
Mesotherapy: 90–200 € per procedure
The price depends on the preparation, the volume and the treated area. I explain the exact cost at the consultation. The consultation is paid separately according to the current price list.

About the specialistFrequently asked questions
How does mesotherapy differ from biorevitalization?
Biorevitalization uses hyaluronic-acid-based preparations to work with skin hydration and quality. Mesotherapy is a broader name for the delivery method, and the composition of preparations can differ substantially.
Is mesotherapy a vitamin cocktail for the skin?
Not necessarily. The name alone does not reveal the composition; at the consultation we check the ingredients and the intended use of the specific preparation.
Is mesotherapy painful?
During the procedure you feel a number of pricks, pressure or brief burning. A topical anaesthetic can be used if needed.
When will the result be visible?
In the first days redness, papules or swelling can affect how the skin looks. I will explain the most suitable time to assess the result depending on the chosen preparation and goal.
Does mesotherapy help with pigmentation and post-acne scars?
Not as a universal method. The type of pigmentation or scarring must be determined first; another method or a combined plan is often better justified.
Can mesotherapy be done in summer?
Yes, provided you can follow sun protection and the aftercare recommendations. It is better not to schedule it right before intense sun exposure or a trip.
